Mohamed Hakami is Executive Director for Community Jameel, a sustainable social enterprise organization formally established in 2003 to continue the Jameel family’s tradition of supporting the community.
Since originally joining Bab Rizq Jameel in 2007, he became Director of Community Jameel’s International Initiatives and Business Development in 2010 overseeing the development the organization’s international programs including a wide range of initiatives in areas across art and culture, education, road traffic safety, fundraising, social & health and entrepreneurship start-up programs with MIT Enterprise Forum.
In 2017, he was appointed as a board member for the Community Jameel Foundation and in 2018, Director of Bab Rizq Jameel Services and Vice Chairman of Bab Rizq Jameel Microfinance,
Mohammed began his career at the Jeddah Science and Technology Center holding a number of management positions culminating as Director of the Center. Prior to joining Abdul Latif Jameel, he spent five years as Director Academic Affairs at the College of Business Administration, Jeddah.
Mr. Hakami holds a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from King Abdul Aziz University, and a MBA from University of Business and Technology, College of Business Administration, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and is fluent in Arabic and English.
