Hassan Jameel is Deputy President and Vice Chairman, Saudi Arabia of Abdul Latif Jameel, an international, family-owned and diversified business, founded in 1945 by the late Abdul Latif Jameel.

Mr. Jameel heads the domestic operations of Abdul Latif Jameel in Saudi Arabia, and is responsible for operations such as automotive, land and real estate, and machinery.  Hassan Jameel is a member of the board of Abdul Latif Jameel.  Prior to taking up his current role, Hassan Jameel worked at Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan

Hassan Jameel is also Vice Chairman of Community Jameel, which is dedicated to social and economic sustainability in the Middle East and beyond, through a wide range of initiatives, including job creation, poverty alleviation, and food and water security. Community Jameel also partners with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on a number of programs to address global challenges.

Mr. Jameel was heavily involved in Community Jameel’s road safety initiative, which aimed to promote safe driving through education and awareness campaigns in Saudi Arabia. Hassan is also involved in a number of humanitarian initiatives including programs with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

Mr. Jameel is a Member of the Board of Directors of Rivian and sits on the UTokyo Global Advisory Board for the University of Tokyo and the MIT School of Engineering Dean's Advisory Council.  Alongside this, he is an advisor to CoMotion and a founding member of the Family Business Council – Gulf, which supports the growth and development on family businesses in the region.

Mr. Jameel holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics from Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan, and gained an MBA from the London Business School. He speaks English, Arabic, and Japanese.

Abdul Latif Jameel’s core business areas include transportation, engineering and manufacturing, financial services, land and real estate, energy and environmental services, consumer products, advertising and media, and health care. Based in the MENAT region, Abdul Latif Jameel has a presence in more than 30 countries over six continents, including Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, North and South America.  It employs approximately 11,000 people of over 40 nationalities.
