J-WAFS: a new name for the next chapter of our story
Abdul Latif Jameel Water & Food Systems Lab (J-WAFS) has changed its name to reflect its next chapter and to demonstrate the breadth of its approach.
J-WAFS at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was founded in 2014 to find solutions to the global-scale challenges that our water and food systems are facing. In only four years the Lab has already catalyzed research and commercialized technologies that are confronting these challenges head-on.
Looking ahead, J-WAFS is working to advance knowledge and innovation across all disciplines to build resilient systems that deliver safe and adequate supplies of water and food across our changing world.
