Two students awarded with the Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) Young Talented Leaders scholarship, marked the first day of their university journeys at the IE University last week. The scholarship program was established in 2015 as part of FRV’s commitment to contribute to economic and social development in the communities in which they operate. 

Adrián Vázquez from Mexico was awarded the scholarship in relation to FRV’s 342 MW dc ‘Potosí Solar’ project in the San Luis Potosí region of the country; he will study a Degree in Communications and Digital Media.

Arturo Cuesta from Spain was selected for the program in relation to FRV’s ‘La Solanilla’ solar farm in Trujillo in the Spanish province of Cáceres; he will study a Degree in Politics, Law and Economics. 

The grant, valued at more than € 100,000, will cover all the expenses derived from the training: tuition, accommodation, academic material, and will offer financial support for travel and maintenance expenses during the four years of the Degree at IE University.

Since the program was established in 2015, scholarships have also been granted to students from Uruguay and Jordan.  In the video below, students who joined the program in 2018 discuss their experience:
