The International Orange Blossom Carnival in Adana, organized by the corporate social responsibility program of Abdul Latif Jameel’s Toyota operations in Turkey (Toyota Türkiye Pazarlama ve Satis A.S), has been named “Communications and PR Campaign of the Year”, winning a Silver Stevie® in the Arts & Entertainment category at The 12th Annual International Business Awards (IBAs).

The International Orange Blossom Carnival in Adana is Turkey’s first and only street carnival, marking its third year in April 2015. Ali Haydar Bozkurt, President and CEO of Toyota Turkey, said the recognition is a great source of motivation for next year’s carnival:

“The Carnival is an opportunity for people to embrace their differences and come together, shoulder to shoulder, to sing in the streets, to dance in honor of love and friendship. In three years, we have achieved a tremendous amount, and made important steps towards increasing the awareness of the city of Adana. The carnival includes cultural and artistic events and also has a very important role to promote foreign tourism in Turkey. The carnival also contributes to Adana’s, and also ultimately to Turkey’s, economy. This Stevie award is a welcome recognition of our great effort and success we have achieved.”

IBAs is the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide—public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small—are eligible to submit nominations. The 2015 IBAs received 3,700 entries from more than 60 countries and territories. Stevie Award winners were determined by a panel of 200 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from May through early August. The awards will be presented during a gala ceremony in Toronto, Canada on 23rd October 2015.

The carnival has also won the TÜHİD Golden Compass Public Relations Award for 2015, and was short-listed as one of three finalists for a Golden World Award, organized by International Public Relations Association (IPRA).
